The Greaves [formerly Ruston & Hornsby (India) Ltd.] 3 YDM Mk. 2 Marine Engine is a traditional design engine constructed in India using modern production techniques but with the same robust design features as engines previously produced in the UK.
The brief specification is as follows :-
3 Cylinder, 3.75 litres, 45 HP at 1500 rpm. Tick-over at 500 rpm.
Water cooled with pump and thermostat, suitable for keel cooling.
Raised hand and electric starting, 35 amp alternator.
12 Months manufactures warranty and full UK after sales support.
These engines are a traditional alternative to modern, vehicle derived engines and are suitable for the larger boat, working boats and wide beam craft. 4 & 6 cylinder versions are available.
